#40 Starting Fresh ( With Link now )

Sun Sep 2, 2007, 5:29 PM
In case you haven't noticed, my life has a distinct pattern. I have days where I do very little, and then days where I feel productive. Sometimes I feel like I should scrap everything I've ever done and start fresh. Days like this are becoming more and more frequent, and I think It is time to actually do something about it. I want to clean up my lifestyle, drink more water, eat less sweet foods, get more exercise, learn about more things, watch less TV, tidy up my house, and last (but not least) establish a routine, so I can have a full day, getting up nice and early, and have a relaxing night, not staying up too late.

So, as you might ask, why does this concern you? Well, I have decided part of this huge general improvement is starting a new deviantART page. I will copy some art from this account, but I want to have a nice shiny new one. After it's up and running, I'll post a link here, so keep your eyes open for updates.

By the way, one of the reasons I want a new deviantART page is that I am sick of the name Ekeichi. I don't even know how to pronounce it, and I don't think anyone else does either. At first, it was ee-kee-chee, then eh-keh-chi, then ae-kai-chee. I prefer the last one, but I am sick of the confusion. I just want my name plain and simple, rather than have a hard to say online handle.

Thanks for reading,
Ross.

Oh, right. After moving, try making sure that other people can take the name if they want. There are already thousands of good names here that are taken by people that left DA.

I'm never serious. Seriously.

Excuse my total obsessiveness (although it's just for a comedic effect now), but this is the way I see it; you're switching from a "Windows lifestyle" (rather chaotic and not quite optimal) to a "Linux lifestyle". :) Which is a great thing; I just hope all of your friends will be compatible. ^^

For some reason, I don't know how I pronounced Ekeichi. I don't think my mind registers any sound when I read your name. I probably automatically link it to you before I get the chance to link anything else to it. XD

Anyway, good luck with the new lifestyle, and the new account. :)
I wish I could organize my own life too. =p

Hehe. I think everyone goes through the same thing. I'm tired of the Hiwitori thing aswell. I've had it for years. Wanted to change it to Malakym, but its already taken here.

I always saw your name as Eh-key-Ichi. XD

Good luck with the new start. Looking forward to seing it.

I feel like that often too, in fact I’m pretty much what and who I am today because I decided to change, sure is a bit of a pain if you are working on long term projects, but it’s better to keep changing until you find the one you are 100% sure you want to make than attach to dubious ones.

If you feel the needing of changing, just do it, it’s a healthy thing, even if you think you might change back, it can only be any harmful if you feel you need to and don’t do it.

Ekeichi is easily spelled in Spanish by the way, but I don’t know how to write the sound of it :P
:iconekeichi:
Yeah, I know what you mean. Change is definitely good.
I know that it is えけいち in Japanese.

I always thought it was ee-kay-chee ^^;

How do you keep a programmer in the shower all day?
Give him a bottle of shampoo which says "lather, rinse, repeat.
